The Department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and in Computer Engineering. Because most graduate courses are not repeated every quarter, students should make every effort to begin their graduate program in the fall.

The educational mission of the Materials Science and Engineering program is to provide students with a unique interdisciplinary academic foundation on which to continue developing intellectual capacity, and the scholarly training needed to address complex problems in materials science with emphasis on advances in nanotechnology, electronic materials, biomaterials, novel alloys, and the selection of materials to meet design goals.
Many resources on campus exist to encourage and assist students interested in becoming entrepreneurs. A lecture series, business and design competitions and business incubators are all available to nurture students interested in transforming their idea into a real-world product, service or business.
The Engineering Student Council (ESC) at the University of California, Irvine is proud to host our Annual National Engineers Week 2016. Engineers Week will be held from February 22nd to February 26th, 2016. Events are held throughout the week to encourage student, faculty, alumni, and industry participation.
