These positions require a doctorate in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.

Project Scientist in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

The UC Irvine Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings in the project scientist series throughout the academic year 2022-23. These positions offer a stimulating array of research and training opportunities within  various labs in the department. Requirements: Applicants should have strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training.

Candidates must have a doctorate or its equivalent.

Professional Researcher in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Postdoctoral Scholars - Advanced Power and Energy Program

The Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings for postdoctoral scholar positions from the basic science of energy (e.g., electrochemistry, combustion kinetics) to applied energy research (e.g., fuel cells, gas turbines, smart grids).

These positions require a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering and/or aerospace engineering.

The Advanced Power and Energy Program(APEP) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering anticipates openings for all levels of the specialist series. Applications are being sought from graduates with backgrounds in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Applicants must have a proven track record of research. Positions are dependent on extramural funding and research contracts of individual principal investigators. The positions may be full time or part time and may be without salary. Dependent upon extramural funding, salary is commensurate with experience.
