The UC Irvine Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings in the project scientist series throughout the academic year 2022-23. These positions offer a stimulating array of research and training opportunities within  various labs in the department. Requirements: Applicants should have strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training.

Candidates must have a doctorate or its equivalent.

Professional Researcher in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Commensurate with experience

The UC Irvine Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering anticipates openings for a professional researcher at the assistant, associate and full rank levels throughout the academic year 2022-23. 

Applications are sought from candidates with a doctorate or equivalent, having a strong lab research background, publication record, and specialized training in mechanical and aerospace engineering or related fields. 

Lecturer in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Commensurate with experience

The UCI Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in the UCI Samueli School of Engineering has occasional need for temporary lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for academic year 2022-23. Applicants must hold a doctorate in mechanical and aerospace engineering or related field by the time of employment.

Specialists in Advanced Power and Energy Program

The Advanced Power and Energy Program(APEP) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering anticipates openings for all levels of the specialist series. Applications are being sought from graduates with backgrounds in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Applicants must have a proven track record of research. Positions are dependent on extramural funding and research contracts of individual principal investigators. The positions may be full time or part time and may be without salary. Dependent upon extramural funding, salary is commensurate with experience.
