What is the deadline for Fall 2026 online applications and supporting documents/scores?- To receive maximum consideration, the application fees, online application and all required materials and scores must be received by the priority deadline of 5:00 p.m. PST, January 15. Subsequent to the priority deadline, applications, fees and materials may be submitted until January 31.
- The required materials include: Transcripts, TOEFL/IELTS score (if applicable), electronic letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.

Droughts are getting longer and more intense (and humans are to blame)
Researchers from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) say that the increasing droughts are caused by greenhouse gases and aerosol pollution. … Lead author Felicia Chiang, who conducted the project as a UCI graduate student in civil & environmental engineering, said: “There has always been natural variability in drought events around the world, but our research shows the clear human influence on drying, specifically from anthropogenic aerosols, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.”

D.M. Haynes Award for Broadening Computer Science Graduate Education
The D.M. Haynes Award for Broadening Participation in Computer Science Graduate Education subsidizes expenses for current and former undergraduate participants of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE); Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE); and American Indian Science and Engineering Technology (AISES) for application and test fees for M.S. and Ph.D. programs in computer science fields.
