Additionally, Holstein was given the “Outstanding Lifetime Achievement in Engineering Administration” award at the Samueli School’s annual dinner and awards banquet on May 19, 2008, following the seventh annual “California: Prosperity Through Technology” Industry Research Symposium. She was recognized for her “Excellence as an Administrator at UCLA (1981-95), UC San Diego (1995-97), and UC Irvine (1997-2008), and Outstanding Contributions to All Areas of Engineering Education as the Assistant Dean for Planning and Administration in The Henry Samueli School of Engineering. Her Guidance of Students, Staff, and Faculty Has Been Truly Exemplary.”
