Vince McDonell Appointed ILASS President

Vince McDonellAug. 30, 2018 - Vince McDonell, adjunct professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and associate director of UC Irvine’s Combustion Laboratory, was recently elected president of the Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems (ILASS)-International for the 2018-2021 term.

The election took place at the Institute’s 2018 international conference held in Chicago in July. ILASS-International is the umbrella organization of three regional institutes: ILASS-Americas, ILASS-Asia and ILASS-Europe.

“It is an honor and privilege to be selected,” said McDonell. “I look forward to serving the international sections of ILASS and continuing to expand interaction between them as well as working closely with the leadership and organizers of the 2021 conference to ensure a highly successful event.”
