A DINO for Dolan

Ben Dolan

April 15, 2016 - Ben Dolan, interim director of Samueli School rapid manufacturing center RapidTech, has been named a Distinguished INnovator Operator (DINO) by the Additive Manufacturing Users Group. The annual award recognizes industry veterans for their experience and contributions to the additive manufacturing industry.

Dolan was honored for his 10 years of dedication to improving education in the field through the use of hands-on workshops and training sessions and for helping spread global awareness of additive manufacturing. He was one of five to receive this year’s award, which was presented early this month at the AMUG annual conference in St. Louis, Mo.

“That a group like AMUG not only exists, but so highly values dedication to hands-on training and education fosters the continued success of the additive industry and educational fields alike,” says Dolan. “I like to think I generally fly under the radar, but it’s nice to receive recognition for hard work from your peers from time to time, even more so when it gets you a chrome-plated dinosaur.”
