Tackett Receives DINO Award

May 13, 2015 - Ed Tackett, director of UCI’s National Center for Rapid Technologies (RapidTech) housed in the Samueli School of Engineering, has been named a Distinguished INnovator Operator (DINO) by the Additive Manufacturing Users Group. The coveted award, presented this month at the ADMUG annual conference in Jacksonville, Fla., recognizes industry veterans for their experience and contributions to the additive manufacturing industry.

Tackett, one of eight awardees this year, has 20 years of experience in additive manufacturing and product development, and has worked with more than 700 companies to develop products and technologies. He has presented at more than 150 national and international events, and has hosted numerous workshops.
