Focused Career Fair Attracts 200 CEE Students

“We felt it was important to provide a forum for students to meet with companies that are specifically focused on civil and environmental engineering fields,” said Jose Jimenez, president of ASCE.
The majority of the companies were represented by former graduates of the Samueli School’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. “This shows what a major impact the department has on the civil and environmental engineering work force of southern California," said Brett Sanders, professor and department chair.

Tatsiana Bondar, another fourth year CEE student, was eager to meet with company representatives. “It’s a good way to practice interviewing, talk with an organization about its culture and learn about it so you can determine if you would want to work there,” she said.
