Postdoctoral Scholar – Cellular and Immuno-engineering

The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for postdoctoral scholars with experience in the general field of cellular engineering and immuno-engineering, combined with some experience in developing or applying microfluidic devices for gene editing, immunological studies and cell therapy applications. Specific skills desired include intracellular delivery of genetic coding molecules, molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g., primary and derivative cell line culture, PCR/RT-qPCR, cloning, flow cytometry), microfluidic flow simulations to understand cell-flow and particle-flow interactions, and biotechniques to detect intracellular signaling.

Requirements:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, biological sciences or a related field. Good communication and writing skills are required.

Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
