Postdoctoral Scholar – Protein Evolution and Synthetic Biology

The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for 1-2 postdoctoral scholar positions in Professor Chang C. Liu’s Laboratory. Go to http://liulab.com/projects/ or contact Prof. Chang Liu (ccl@uci.edu) for more information on project areas, which include antibody design and evolution, studying the molecular evolution of proteins, and developing synthetic genetic systems.

Requirements:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, computational biology, biophysics, cell biology, chemical biology, chemistry or related field. Research experience in experimental synthetic biology, molecular biology, chemical biology, and/or cell biology is preferred, but any exceptionally creative and driven scientist interested will be thoroughly considered.

Note that the University of California limits the total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service to five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
