Dean’s Report Receives Third CASE Award
Jan. 30, 2017 - For the third consecutive year since its inception, the Samueli School of Engineering Dean’s Report has been recognized for superiority by CASE – the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. The 2015-16 Dean’s Report won a silver award in the Annual Magazines category of CASE District VII’s Awards of Excellence competition. CASE District VII comprises schools in Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, Northern Mariana Islands and Utah.
The Dean’s Report, produced by the school communications office and sent each fall to engineering school deans and department chairs, alumni, current and potential donors and industry partners around the country, highlights the Samueli School’s accomplishments during the previous year. This year’s I AM #ANTEATERENGINEER featured 60 pages of research stories, faculty awards and recognition, student and alumni accomplishments, data and Anteater Engineer pride.
The CASE Awards of Excellence competition received a record number – more than 600 – entries this year. Publications were judged based on content and design, as well as budget and number of staff.
