National Engineers Week
National Engineers Week, also referred to as E-Week, is a nationwide event that dedicates one full week to celebrate engineers across the nation. E-Week will be held February 21-25, 2011.
UC Irvine E-Week Events
EngiTECH Career Fair
Wednesday, February 23, 2011, 10:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Participate in the EngiTECH Career Fair and recruit UC Irvine engineering
students and alumni for job openings and internships in your organization.
As a sponsor, your company name and logo will be displayed at EngiTECH
and in all E-Week promotional materials, giving you prominent visibility
among more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate engineering students
and alumni of the UC Irvine engineering community.
Feature, Design, and Recreational Competitions
Tuesday to Friday, February 22-25, 2011, 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
From the Rube Goldberg Competition to the Egg Drop Contest, these events
showcase student innovation and imagination, encouraging student
participation and nourishing engineering ingenuity. The competitions are
held by engineering student organizations and honor societies. As an E-Week
sponsor, a portion of your contribution will be used to generate supplies,
materials and prizes for student engineering competitions. Gift-in-Kind
donations for contest prizes are also welcomed.
E-Week Barbeque and Design Project Expo
Thursday, February 24, 2011, 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
During the E-Week Barbeque, students display their Senior Design Projects
for professors and industry representatives. Gold Sponsors will have
increased exposure during the E-Week barbecue and design exposition, with
company banner and materials prominently displayed. All company
representatives will have the opportunity to network with the next generation
of professional engineers.
The 38th Annual Awards Banquet
Friday, February 25, 2011, 6:00 P.M. - 9:30 P.M.
ESC will host a banquet and awards presentation culminating the week's
activities, recognizing outstanding faculty and students for their
extraordinary service to The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and UC
Irvine. We would be honored to have your company join us at the awards
banquet. As a sponsor, your company will have a named table with seats for
your organization and acknowledgment during the ceremony. Individual
tickets are also available for purchase.
