Leadership Council Member Honored with CODiE Lifetime Achievement Award
Aug. 22, 2019 - Samueli School Leadership Council member Feyzi Fatehi has been recognized by the Software and Information Industry Association with the 2019 CODiE Lifetime Achievement Award in business technology. Fatehi is the CEO of Corent Technology, a global provider of SaaS and Cloud enablement technologies, and he also serves as a member of the UC Irvine Roundtable.
The CODiE Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates individuals who have made significant long-term contributions to the software industry and are renowned for their reputation, leadership, vision, mentorship, career success and philanthropy. Previous recipients have included Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Alan Kay and Jim Clark.
“This is the honor of a lifetime. I’m truly humbled to join the ranks of such trailblazers and heroes of mine in both technology and business,” said Fatehi. “I share this award with all my coaches, mentors, supporters and with our team at Corent, and also to all those dedicated to the genuine joy and art form of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Fatehi, an inventor of the first Real Time Database, has spent his career building high-performance, high-tech organizations including multiple business units at HP and four tech startups in Silicon Valley and in Southern California, including Corent. He is an advocate of education and a proponent of entrepreneurship as a work-life philosophy. In 2017 he was honored for Excellence in Entrepreneurship by the Orange County Business Journal.
