Khine Elected to AIMBE College of Fellows

Michelle KhineMay 4, 2015 - Biomedical engineering associate professor Michelle Khine has been elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. Khine was nominated, reviewed and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for outstanding contributions to developing a low-cost diagnostic technology enabling new biomedical health research and applications.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., AIMBE is a nonprofit organization representing the top 2 percent of medical and biological engineers, which advocates for the value of medical and biological engineering to society. The College of Fellows is comprised of 1,000 members considered outstanding in academia, industry and government.

Khine also delivered the keynote speech in April at the 2015 Orange County Science and Engineering Fair (OCSEF), an event that has promoted science and engineering in Orange County since 1955.
