Engineering Enrollments Double in Three Years
If the projections for enrollment are reached, The Henry Samueli School of Engineering will have almost doubled our graduate enrollment over the past three years. This growth trajectory is expected to continue over the next several years. Our continued recruitment of world class engineering scholars provides a fertile environment for scholarly activity among our growing graduate and undergraduate population. Financial support for graduate students has kept pace with our school's tremendous growth. Students who apply and are accepted into the programs are supported by a wide array of financial assistance. The increase in quality and quantity of students is due to the partnerships that our school has developed with private individuals and corporate donations for fellowships and scholarships. With support from numerous fellowships, including the Balsells Fellowship and the Center for Pervasive Communications and Computing Fellowship, we continue to bring the top students to the UC Irvine campus. Engineering graduate students are in demand at UC Irvine. They are found working with The Henry Samueli School of Engineering as well as in the School of Physical Sciences and the School of Social Sciences. Our successes are quantifiable:
With the increased growth in quality and quantity of faculty and students, we continue on the path of engineering the future at UC Irvine and around the world. |
