ICEPAG 2018 is a Clean Energy Conference with a focus on Microgrids and the need to integrate sustainable energy resources, enhance the performance of the electrical grid, and increase grid resiliency and reliability. This 3-day conference consists of a plenary session, a keynote session, breakout sessions, and a tour of the UCI Microgrid.

What makes this a must-attend event?

  • Comprehensive Program: The conference addresses the spectrum of clean energy generation, modernization of the grid system, and clean transportation to capture an integrated view of clean energy systems more effectively than any other forum.

  • Objective and Insightful: A diverse range of presentations and attendees participate which assures non-biased content and insight on the latest, cutting edge information regarding clean energy technologies and markets.

  • Networking Opportunities: Attendees will have opportunities to network during two evening receptions that will be held at the Advanced Power and Energy Program headquarters, as well as during lunches and networking breaks during the conference.

  • Key Stakeholder Engagement: Attendees are comprised of influential figures from industry, academia, and government with a stake in clean energy.

  • Robust Dialog: Attendees with a wide rage of backgrounds and disciplines share their perspective on clean energy technologies and lessons learned in an effective and well-rounded set of discussions.

  • International Constituency: For the past 18 years ICEPAG has been a premier global forum in which clean energy leaders from around the world share and discuss their perspectives.

Who should attend?

The Conference is intended for professionals or students from industry, government or academia who are seeking to remain on the cutting edge of the clean energy paradigm shift. This includes stakeholders involved in:

  • The design, manufacture, or installation of electric power generators whether on a small distributed scale, or on a central scale.

  • Companies involved in consulting, planning, and development of clean energy utilization systems related to smart grids or microgrids.

  • Those involved in clean transportation including hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and how they are fueled, or plug-in electric vehicles.

  • Finally, the networking and information sharing will be of key interest to regulators, public policy professionals, researchers, technology developers, system integrators, investors, urban planners, and others who wish to understand the potential and challenges currently associated with the generation or utilization of clean energy.

About ICEPAG

ICEPAG (the International Colloquium on Environmentally Preferred Advanced Generation) is presented annually by the Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) at UC Irvine, as a “Global Summit Series” varying each year between Grid Evolution and Microgrid technologies:

  • ICEPAG 2018:  Microgrid Global Summit
  • ICEPAG 2019:  Grid Evolution Global Summit
  • ICEPAG 2020:  Microgrid Global Summit

As a Colloquium, the conference (1) combines a collection of tutorials and professional presentations, (2) provides extended question/answer periods to stimulate discussion, and (3) strikes a balance between the interests of industry, regulators, and academia; and students and practicing professionals.
