Bio: Marinela Gombosev is Executive Vice President of Operations and Marketing at Evoke Neuroscience, an entrepreneurial medical device company that is revolutionizing brain and heart healthcare. Prior to joining Evoke, Ms. Gombosev was Program Manager at BIT Group where she led cross-functional teams on a multi-million dollar product development and global commercialization program for a Class II medical diagnostic instrument. During her tenure as CEO or Amazing Tape Management Company, Ms. Gombosev was honored as one of the leading business people in Orange County's OC Register Metro magazine's "Hot 25" list of influential leaders and innovators. Her engineering and business background created a platform for experiences ranging from designing flight controls for executive business jets for Parker Hannifin, to developing global strategy and marketing plans for VIZIO, to helping with the initial marketing-launch strategy for luxury hybrid carmaker Fisker. Ms. Gombosev earned a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine where she was named Engineer of the Year at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering. She was inducted in the UCI Engineering Hall of Fame in 2015.


The Entrepreneurship Seminar Series provides a real-world introduction to the theory and practice of entrepreneurship. Through a series of presentations by prestigious entrepreneurs and industry leaders, participants will explore the various organizational, strategic and financial challenges facing successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs. Topics include start-up strategies, business idea evaluation, business plan writing, and introduction to venture capital.
