Read Honored at Celebration of Teaching Event

May 8, 2015 - Elizabeth Read, chemical engineering and materials science assistant professor, was recognized as the Samueli School’s Excellence in Undergraduate Education honoree at this week’s UCI Annual Celebration of Teaching banquet. Her nomination letter calls Read, who joined UCI in 2012, “caring and interactive,” stating that she has consistently garnered student-generated ratings “comparable to the very best instructors in the school.”

Dean Gregory Washington praised Read’s accomplishments. “She’s an outstanding teacher who has significant engagement with students in a way that makes them want to be engineers,” he said.
