Undergraduate Students Invited to Apply for Steel Engineering Education Link Initiative Scholarship

Open to all undergraduate engineering majors expected to graduate in 2008, application deadline June 9th

The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology Foundation (AIST Foundation) have launched a new scholarship program called the Steel Engineering Education Link (STEEL) Initiative, available to undergraduate students of engineering interested in a career in the steel industry.

This scholarship is open to all undergraduate engineering disciplines with an expected graduation date of 2008.  If selected, the student will receive US$5,000 toward tuition, a paid summer internship with a North American steel company over the summer of 2007, and US$5,000 toward their final-year tuition.

Applications for the STEEL Scholarships are being accepted now through June 9, 2006 so please encourage your top students to apply TODAY as time is limited!
