2005 USA-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship to be Held at UCI, August 11-13

EECS Professor Kim to host more than 250 researchers at flagship event

July 11, 2005 – Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Professor, Kane Kim, will host the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) annual conference, the 2005 USA-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (UKC2005), which will be held at UCI, August 11-13, 2005.  Kim is the president of the KSEA organization.

At the conference, approximately 250 active science and engineering researchers in both the United States and Korea are expected to present papers.  A majority of the presenters are researchers with only a few years of experiences after obtaining their last degrees.

Additionally, a number of distinguished people will speak at plenary sessions. For example, Professor Woo-Suk Hwang, a prominent international researcher in stem cells will provide the keynote address on August 12.
