Instructional Labs

About the Labs

The Henry Samueli School of Engineering has several Instructional Computing Labs.



The open labs include:



MSTB 224 is the main computer lab used for instruction and it is open to Engineering students on a walk-in basis when sections are not scheduled. Check the schedule posted on the doors for details. To access the lab after 5:00 p.m., students can use the door code sent to their email addresses on a quarterly basis. Students who do not receive door codes may pick one up at the Student Affairs Office front desk. While the lab is available at all times, the main building door is locked Monday-Friday after 10:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and on the building is locked all day on Sundays. Students can use the EH Labs when MSTB 224 is inaccessible.



EH 1131, 1141, 1151 - These labs are equipped with the same hardware and software as in MSTB 224. Please check the schedules posted on the door.  The EH labs are be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.



EH 1150 – This room is available for drop-in use. The hardware is slightly older and running Windows XP. It has basic software, but no 3D CAD software.



ECT 123 - This computer lab has software specific to Civil & Environmental Engineering majors. CEE students can access the lab for drop-in use when there are no classes in session. Check the schedule posted on the doors for details. To access the lab after 5:00 p.m., students can use the door code sent to their email addresses on a quarterly basis. This room is always open, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.



Instructors and TA’s reserve the right to allow registered students only access to the labs when scheduled classes are in session.
