Faculty & Staff Profile
James Brody
Associate Professor
BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

M.S., Princeton University, Physics, 1991
Ph.D., Princeton University, Physics, 1994
B.S., Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Physics, 1989
Research in Brody's laboratory focuses on functional genomics and single molecule protein characterization. Specific research projects include: application of surface plasmon resonance-based sensors to quantifying DNA/protein interactions, studies of single proteases and 20 S proteasomes in vitro, and molecular biology and biochemical analysis of a module of genes expressed in breast cancers.
Research Topics: Single molecule dynamics, bioinformatics, functional genomics, surface plasmon resonance.
