Postdoctoral Research Position - Protein and Metabolic Engineering

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Irvine invites applicants for a postdoctoral scholar to join Assistant Professor Han Li's laboratory of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. The ideal applicant will have experience in genetically engineering bacteria and yeast, protein purification, enzymatic assays and analysis of microbial fermentation products. Good organization, communication and ability to work in a team setting are essential qualities. Candidates should have a doctorate in chemical engineering, biology, biomedical engineering or a related field. 

The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding.
