Junior Specialist - Da Silva Group
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Irvine invites applicants for a junior specialist position focused on yeast protein expression and metabolic engineering. The applicant should have experience working with yeast (in particular, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces marxianus), strain and vector construction, CRISPR-Cas9, HPLC and other analytical techniques. Good organization and communication skills and ability to work in a team setting are essential.
Candidates should have a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field.
