Postdoctoral Scholar Position - Da Silva Group

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the UC Irvine Samueli School of Engineering invites applicants for a postdoctoral scholar position focused on yeast metabolic engineering and genome-wide screening. The applicant should have experience with various yeast species, pathway engineering, molecular cloning, CRISPR-Cas9, HPLC and other analytical techniques, and bioreactor operation. Good organization and communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting are essential. Candidates should have a doctorate in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field.

The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding.
