The UC Irvine Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the Samueli School of Engineering is looking for multiple postdoctoral scholars. These positions are part of the ProperData Center, whose goal is to protect personal data flow on the Internet. More information can be found here: The research is in the general area of personal data privacy and transparency, and we are looking for postdoctoral scholar researchers with a range of expertise, including but not limited to the following areas: privacy, security, networking, Internet-of-Things, mobile devices and machine learning, as well as the interface between policy and technology for data privacy. Successful candidates will have a strong publication record in one or more of the above areas and will be expected to work within an interdisciplinary and multi-institutional team. Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with industry and/or policy partners. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.

A doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a closely related field, from an accredited university, is required at the time of hire.
