Postdoctoral Scholar – Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

$48,216 - $58,560
Will remain open until filled

Postdoctoral Scholar positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in The Henry Samueli School of Engineering. These positions are under the sponsorship of the faculty members of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The research focus is in the areas of Circuit and Devices, Systems and Computer Engineering.

Postdoctoral Scholar – Da Silva Group

Commensurate with experience
Will remain open until filled

The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applicants for a postdoctoral scholar to engineer eukaryotes for high-level protein expression, enhanced stability and increased productivity. The applicant should have experience in yeast and mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, CRISPR-Cas9, protein expression and purification, rt-PCR and HPLC. Good organization, communication and ability to work in a team setting are essential.

Postdoctoral Scholar - Pan Group

Commensurate with experience
Will remain open until filled

The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at UC Irvine invites applicants for a postdoctoral scholar in the Pan Group. We are seeking applicants with expertise in TEM/STEM study on ferroelectric oxides.

The initial appointment would be for one year, with the possibility of an extension, depending on performance. The position will come with a highly competitive salary, as well as generous benefits. Please submit a CV and contact information of at least three references.

Postdoctoral Scholars - Laboratory of Fluorescence Dynamics

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.

The UC Irvine Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings for postdoctoral scholar positions (Levels I-IV) in the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics.

Requirements: Seeking qualified candidates to pursue specialized research and develop novel imaging techniques for the study of biological systems, specifically in analysis of protein dynamics in cells. Positions will be focused on the development of fluorescence methods and instrumentation techniques.

Postdoctoral Scholar – Synthesis and Characterization of Powder-based Advanced Materials

Commensurate with experience
Will remain open until filled

A postdoctoral position is available in the field of synthesis and characterization of powder-based advanced materials in Professor Julie Schoenung’s laboratory in UCI’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. The postdoctoral scholar will conduct research on investigating structure-property relationships in advanced, novel nanostructured materials. Experimental synthesis and processing methods will include but not be limited to the application of powder-based techniques such as spark plasma sintering and direct laser deposition. Applicants should be recent Ph.D.

Post-doctoral Scholar in Control and Dynamical Systems

commensurate with experience
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in the area of control and dynamical systems. The research will focus on studying collective behavior of dynamical processes under stochastic uncertainty. In particular, the research will focus on applications that include surveillance via sensor networks and the control of interconnected networks and particle systems.

Postdoctoral Scholar in robotics and wearable sensing for rehabilitation

commensurate with experience

The Biorobotics Laboratory at the University of California, Irvine is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral scholar position. The research will focus on development of robotic devices and wearable sensors for neurorehabilitation after a stroke. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in robotics, controls, circuits and signal processing. A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field is required. Experience with rehabilitation engineering and movement science is preferred
