Saudi Arabia International Program

The Saudi Arabia International Program (SAIP), hosted by the Henry Samueli School of Engineering (HSSoE) at the University California, Irvine (UCI), aims to provide international students with an immersive educational experience that provides extensive Engineering and English training. The program currently provides internship opportunities with research groups within the Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

The summer training program is designed as a 10-Week intensive program that offers undergraduate students with outstanding academic potential an opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on engineering projects, while simultaneously receiving extensive English language training. The program provides students with the fundamental knowledge and tools required to pursue an advanced career in technical areas related to their specialization in a practical research-oriented environment. The English language training further provides the students with the confidence to communicate their ideas clearly to their peers and colleagues.
