Abstract: Oscilloscopes, one of the most important pieces of lab equipment, are used to analyze signal in the time domain. Come learn more about the fundamentals of oscilloscope operation and get some hands-on experience with actual oscilloscopes after the presentation.

Bio: Neema Shafigh is an applications engineer at Keysight Technologies (formerly Agilent Technologies). He began his career with Broadcom, working for 10 years in the R&D department on its central engineering team. During this time, he worked on characterizing Ethernet chip sets for SMB and metro-Ethernet markets. Shafigh developed new test plans to reduce testing time for faster time-to-market cutting edge products. He was a recipient of the SPOT award for his achievements in addressing the market need for more data throughput. Leveraging his technical expertise, Shafigh went on to his current position at Keysight Technologies. He currently consults with Tier 1 original equipment manufacturers such as Qualcomm, Broadcom, Western Digital and HGST on their testing requirements and the ever-expanding worldwide need for data for a multitude of applications. Shafigh holds a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering from UC Irvine.
