Bio: C. Craig Carlson specializes in emerging and growth companies. He is a co-founder of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth. Mr. Carlson's primary area of practice is corporate and securities. He has extensive experience with respect to private and public financings (both debt and equity), strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, corporate securities matters, and general corporate and business representation.

Since 1975, Mr. Carlson has represented numerous private and public companies in a diverse array of industries, including computer, software, telecommunications, electronics, biomedical and biopharmaceutical, health care services, financial and title services, food, and various consumer products and services. He has lectured at and participated in numerous seminars and speaking engagements on topics related to legal issues facing emerging and growth companies, including primarily private and public financing.

He earned his B.S and J.D. and from the University of Southern California.


The Entrepreneurship Seminar Series provides a real-world introduction to the theory and practice of entrepreneurship. Through a series of presentations by prestigious entrepreneurs and industry leaders, participants will explore the various organizational, strategic and financial challenges facing successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs. Topics include start-up strategies, business idea evaluation, business plan writing, and introduction to venture capital.
