About the Speaker:
J. Andy Corley, co-founder of Eyeonics, Inc., is Chairman, President, and CEO of the company. Previously, Corley was co-founder of Chiron Ophthalmics and served as General Manager of the Refractive Surgery Division of Chiron until it was acquired by Bausch & Lomb in 1997. Prior to Chiron, he was employed by Allergan Pharmaceuticals and American Medical Optics, focusing primarily on sales and marketing.  Corley has more than 25 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology.

Eyeonics, Inc., a venture backed medical device company headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, was founded in 1998 by Corley, Chairman and CEO, and J. Stuart Cumming, M.D., Chief Scientific Officer and crystalens developer, as well as cataract surgeon for more than 25 years. Eyeonics is committed to developing a new class of visual enhancement systems that will enable patients to see up close, far away and everything in between. Eyeonics has received approval of its first product, the crystalens Accommodating Intraocular lens, and has been issued 38 patents, with 36 pending. Eyeonics currently has 74 employees and maintains a manufacturing facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and a sales office in RomeWorldwide, more than 20,000 lenses have been implanted to-date.
