Lecturer - Part-time (BME 149/261)

$5,730.89 (approx) for quarter (three months – October through December)

The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time lecturer for the fall quarter 2016 to teach an upper division course, BME 149/261: Biomedical Microdevices. Class covers the design, implementation, manufacturing and marketing of commercial and research biomedical micro devices.

Requirements:   Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in biomedical engineering.  At least two years of college-level teaching experience is preferred.

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Samueli School of Engineering at UC Irvine (EECS@UCI) invites applications for a “Professor of Teaching in Engineering” position with potential security of employment. This position parallels the tenure track faculty research series starting Fall Quarter 2016. It will involve coordinating and teaching undergraduate and graduate lecture and laboratory courses in computer engineering.

Lecturer - Part-time (BME 120/220)

The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time lecturer for fall quarter 2016 to teach an lower/upper division course, BME 120/220: Sensory Motor Systems. This course takes a quantitative approach to understanding physiological systems of the human body, specifically covering sensory (basic neuroscience and the auditory system) and motor function (muscles and control of movement).  

Lecturer - Part-time (BME 110A)

The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time lecturer for fall quarter 2016 to teach an upper division course, BME 110A: Biomechanics I.  Class covers introduction to statics, rigid bodies, analysis of structures, forces in beams and moments of inertia. 

Course meets two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m.

Curriculum area includes instruction in reading and assessing cardiovascular literature, the basic science of cardiovascular research, clinical cardiovascular research, and engineering tools for cardiovascular research.
