The Aeronautics, Dynamics and Control Laboratory (ADCL) at the University of California, Irvine currently is accepting applications for a part-time Project Scientist position. The research will focus on geometric nonlinear controllability. We are seeking an individual with a strong background and experience in one or more of these areas: mathematical control theory, optimal control and differential geometry. A Ph.D. in mathematics, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field is required.
LECTURER – Introduction to Engineering
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering may have need for one or more temporary lecturers to teach the following course in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program during the fall and winter quarter of the 2017-18 academic year.
The UC Irvine Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has occasional needs for temporary lecturers to teach undergraduate courses. Applicants must hold a doctorate in mechanical and aerospace engineering or related field by the time of employment.

The Lasers, Flames and Aerosols Group (LFA) associated with Professor Derek Dunn-Rankin at UC Irvine is seeking a research specialist for advanced modeling of electric field effects on laminar diffusion flames.
