The Fall 2017 admissions online application submission for EECS and Networked Systems has opened starting September 1st, 2016.

The department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering with a concentration in electrical engineering (EE) or computer engineering (CpE).

Electrical engineering research areas include:

  • optics and electronic devices and circuits
  • communications
  • signal processing
  • machine vision
  • power electronics 
  • systems engineering

Computer engineering thrusts encompass:

  • computer architecture
  • software
  • embedded systems

The department also offers graduate degrees in networked systems, a program administered by an interdisciplinary group of faculty from the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and the Donald Bren School of Information & Computer Science.
