Associate Specialist – Nano Photonics

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in UCI's Henry Samueli School of Engineering is looking for an associate specialist, level I, with a salary of $53,124.

We are looking for an associate specialist to head the experimental and theoretical efforts in a multiyear, multidisciplinary project recently funded by the Keck Foundation (http://www.wmkeck.org/). The project combines vector light with designed nanostructures to control and interrogate novel aspects of plasmonics and nano optics. The project is a collaboration among four faculty members from the schools of engineering and physical sciences at UCI.

We are seeking qualified candidates with experimental and/or theoretical experience in the following fields:

  • Nano optics
  • Nanoscale microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, and atomic force microscope
  • Plasmonics

Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on job performance and confirmed availability of support. Based on performance, we are looking for candidates who can commit to at least two years.
