Assistant Project Scientist, Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at UC Irvine has an opening for an assistant project scientist for an experimental research program developing funded research initiatives and setting up laboratory experiments aimed at novel biological sensors and devices at the cutting edge of single-cell genomics, proteomics and protein engineering.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate significant, original and creative contributions to the research program and to participate in outside professional activities. Additional responsibilities will include assistance with proposal development and advising graduate students. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field, from a leading research university, and at least three years related experience.
