Assistant Project Scientist
The UC Irvine Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has an opening for an assistant project scientist for an experimental research program centered around developing creative approaches to capture, treat and use stormwater runoff with the goal of improving human and ecosystem water security.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate significant original and creative contributions to the research program and to participate in outside professional activities. Additional responsibilities will include assistance with proposal development and advising graduate students. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in environmental science, environmental engineering or a related field. Additional qualifications include at least three years related experience.
Initial appointment will be for a 12-month period, at 75 percent, renewable subject to performance and availability of adequate funding.
