Postdoctoral Scholar - Microfluidic Devices
The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral scholar to join the laboratory of Professor Jered Haun. The project focuses on developing microfluidic devices for processing various organs and tissues into cellular suspensions for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Samples will be obtained from both animal and humans and will include normal and disease samples. Results will be assessed predominantly in terms of cell numbers and viability, although advanced functional tests will be of interest.
Requirements: Seeking a wide range of potential skills so all interested applicants are encourage to apply. Experience in microfluidics, flow cytometry and/or animal models would be beneficial but not required. This position requires a doctorate in biomedical engineering, biological sciences or related discipline. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
