Postdoctoral Scholar - Advanced Integrated Cyber-Physical Systems Lab in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
The Advanced Integrated Cyber-Physical Systems Lab http://aicps.eng.uci.edu at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a few postdoctoral scholar positions at a salary of $48,216 to $58,560 per year based on qualifications and experience. A Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science from a major research university is required. Applicants should have expertise in one of the following areas:
- Hardware Security. A Ph.D. degree that covers topics of hardware security. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have good understanding of the software. Candidates with knowledge in machine learning-based data-driven techniques for intrusion detection will be given higher priority.
- Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems Security. A Ph.D. degree that covers the topics of embedded and cyber-physical systems security including application areas of manufacturing, transportation, automotive, smartgrid, healthcare, etc. is required. Candidates with knowledge in machine learning-based data-driven techniques for intrusion detection will be given higher priority.
The successful candidates will report to AICPS director and work jointly with a number of Ph.D. students in their respective areas. The candidates will be expected to conduct research, publish papers and coordinate a number of activities involving proposal generation and presentation of research results on various media, including the web.
The initial appointment will be for 12 months and the exact salary depends on the applicant’s qualifications. Renewal of the appointment will be contingent upon the availability of adequate funding and performance.
