Post-doctoral Scholar in Control and Dynamical Systems

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC Irvine is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in the area of control and dynamical systems. The research will focus on studying collective behavior of dynamical processes under stochastic uncertainty. In particular, the research will focus on applications that include surveillance via sensor networks and the control of interconnected networks and particle systems. Background and some level of expertise in probabilistic and optimization methods, especially those related to optimal mass transport, is required. A doctorate in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering, physics or mathematics and related fields is required.
