LECTURER – ENGR 190W Communications in the Professional World
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering may have need for one or more temporary Lecturers to teach the following course in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program during the 2016-17 academic year:
Communications in the Professional World is an upper division technical writing course for students with junior or senior standing in Engineering. This interdisciplinary course focuses on learning techniques for technical and scientific writing, preparing and delivering oral presentations and the art of communicating technical information to the technical and non-technical public. Minimum qualifications include a B.S./B.A. in Communications, English, Engineering or Science, experience in teaching a similar course and experience in positions requiring technical writing as a major responsibility of the job. This course must fulfill the upper-division writing requirements, as well as the required assessment of student outcomes.
